Feds Dropping Cash for Clunkers Program August 24

It has been confirmed that the Cash for Clunkers Program will expire at 8 pm on Monday, August 24.

Warner Robins Changes Location for Monday's Town Hall Meeting

Due to a higher than expected turnout, the Health Care Town Hall Meeting set for Monday, August 24, has changed locations.

The new location where Representative Jim Marshall will speak is the Homer J. Walker, Jr. Civic Center, 702 Watson Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to Macon.com.

More Furlough Time on the Books for University System of GA Employees

The Georgia Board of Regents approved a mandatory six day furlough for University System of GA for faculty and staff at its meeting August 12. Also on the cutting board are changes to the health care plan for employees. The Governor and General Assembly will have the final say on the proposed reductions for the FY2010.
